I like to think that I have a decent eye for recognizing talent, at the very least a better than average one. Scouts and recruiters and other folks who are paid for their assessments will often pick up subtleties that even a dedicated fan or even a decent former player will likely miss. I might not get all of that but I do think I can pick out the obvious. I think if I see a kid who is 15 or 16 I’ll have a pretty good idea.
