TODAY a rough draft of another chapter from the memoir-ish project that I’ve been toiling on—no working title this point, no publication date, everything TBA at this point.
People have asked me how I wound up at the Globe and Mail and among them people I worked with at the Globe and Mail. Some sign on as apprentices, graduate through the ranks, pay their dues … but that’s not how it played out for me. I made no effort to get hired at the Globe and in fact went out of my way to make myself persona non grata.
